Creative therapeutic work
Some experiences arrive as a colour, an image, a gesture. Creative therapeutic work makes room for what is difficult to put into words.
You do not have to be an artist.
Drawing, paint, collage, clay, photography or reflective writing can offer another way to explore experience. Materials become a starting point for curiosity, expression and conversation.
There is no expectation to make something beautiful or to have any particular skill. Attention rests on the process: what you notice, what emerges, and what the experience means to you. Creative work can be considered alongside conversation as part of an integrated approach.
What might bring you here
- Experiences that are hard to describe
- Exploring imagery and personal meaning
- Making space for imagination
- Connecting reflection with expression
You might
be wondering.
Do I need artistic experience?+
No artistic ability or previous experience is needed. This is a space for exploration, rather than instruction or evaluation.
What materials might we use?+
Depending on the work, materials may include drawing, paint, collage, clay, photography, found natural materials or writing. The choice is made in conversation with you.
How is this different from an art class?+
The focus is your experience and what you discover through the process. Producing a finished artwork or learning a technique is not the goal.
You don’t need all
the words to begin.
A first conversation is a place to start.
We can find the next step together.
